Bluewater Trim Options

Black Anodized Aluminum with ash framed web seats is standard on all boats. This includes aluminum grab handles and 2nd thwart. Prices and weights quoted are based on this trim.
Northern White Ash is our standard wood trim. This features straight-grained ash gunwales, 2nd thwart, grab bars and ash framed web seats.
Cherry/mahogany trim is our recommendation for Ultralight canoes as it is our lightest wood trim option. We use cherry inwales, grab bars and thwarts, and mahogany outwales with ash framed web seats. Decks are eliminated to minimize weight.
Ash/cherry trim in combination features ash outwales, black cherry inwales with ash 2nd thwart, grab bars and ash framed web seats. An aesthetically pleasing contrast of woods . Ash/cherry laminated deep dish yoke compliments this package.
Special Edition wood trim is our premium option. It features cherry trim with scalloped inwales in the areas of the yoke and end decks. Curved handles, logo on forward grab handle, cherry yoke and beveled seat frames finish this superb option.

Ash-framed web seats are standard in all our canoes as they provide the best combination of appearance, comfort and durability. A sliding seat (shown right) is available as a bow seat in any model. The SplitRock solo outfitting includes a sliding centre seat. The sliding seat allows the weight of the paddler to be positioned for best fore and aft trim. For a smaller person in the bow, the seat can be moved forward to make the paddling more comfortable.
